What to Expect From Our GP Services in the Sydney CBD?
At Key Health CBD South, we focus on providing patient-centred care to all individuals and families. Our doctors will focus on you and your family's individual medical needs and provide guidance around any medical concerns that you may have.
We aim to provide our patients with comprehensive person-centred care and seek to build continuing patient-doctor relationships by focusing on what our patients need, value, and desire for their health.
We offer onsite reception staff, practice manager, practice nurse and pathology that are all here to assist our practitioners to provide the best quality care.
Our clinic is also home to True Skin Cosmetic and Laser Clinic, a premium cosmedical laser clinic in the heart of Sydney CBD.
Our clinic is open for weekly consultations between 8:30am and 5pm. Call or book your appointment online or using the HotDoc app. We also welcome walk-ins, although we’ll ask you to wait until a gap becomes available. However, please let us know if your situation is urgent or an emergency. Key Health is a mixed billing practice with selected bulk billing between 10am and 3:45 pm.

Location
Key Health CBD South is conveniently located in the heart of Sydney CBD at 281 Elizabeth Street, inside the Regency Hyde Park building. We are within walking distance of Museum and Town Hall train stations.
By Train: Approximately 1 minute walk from Museum Station or 5 minutes walk from Town Hall Station.
Parking: Secure Parking is the closest paid parking station on the corner of Goulburn and Elizabeth Street. Loading zone parking is also available at the front and rear of the clinic.

Clinic Fees
Key Health CBD South is a mixed billing practice. Bulk billing is available for standard consultations on weekdays between 10am to 3:59pm for Medicare card holders and international visitors and students with Overseas Visitor Health Cover (OVHC) or Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) from ahm, Allianz, Bupa, Medibank or nib. Consultations outside these hours, long appointments or other procedures will incur an out-of-pocket charge.
Medicare card holders are eligible to receive an on-the-spot rebate for all privately billed procedures and services.

We bulk-bill standard consultations between the hours of 10:00am to 3:59pm for patients who hold a current Medicare card. Outside of these times a gap fee will apply to all consultations. Procedures conducted will also incur an extra fee. See our Clinic Fees above for more detailed information.

For payments in the clinic, we are able to process your Medicare claim directly through our Tyro EFT machine which is linked directly to Medicare.
For payments through HotDoc, you will receive instructions on how you can easily process your claim in your own time at your convenience.

At Key Health, we want to provide the highest level of care with minimal wait times for our patients. By utilising an appointments system, we are able to help control wait times. When you make an appointment and run late, do not show or cancel with late notice, your valuable appointment time may often go unfilled.
Your missed appointment slot could have been utilised by other patients in need. This also means that our Doctors and Allied Health Staff are not able to see other patients during this time.
Many medical practices charge the full consultation fee for late cancellations/non-attendance. Our late cancellation/non-attendance fee is only $25.

To maintain our high standards of care, it is best to book in a follow-up appointment with your doctor so that they can discuss the results with you. If your results are urgent, you will receive a call from the clinic to book in sooner. If you have not booked an appointment and do not receive a call or text, this means your results are more than likely normal.
Our reception team are able to advise you if your results have returned and whether your doctor has requested a follow-up consultation. Our reception staff are unable to give out any results over the phone.
If a follow-up consultation was not requested by your doctor and you are still experiencing symptoms, we recommend that you organise a follow-up appointment.
If you are unable to attend the surgery and a follow up consultation is required, a phone consultation can be scheduled with one of our Doctors. The consultation fee is $75 and there is no medicare rebate.

Our practice runs on an appointment basis to maintain a high standard of care for all patients, however, there are usually same day appointments available. If your matter is urgent, our doctors will be able to see you as a walk-in patient.

We work closely with the 13SICK National Home Doctor Service to allow patients to be seen outside of our normal clinic hours by professional doctors and nurses. A report will be sent to your general practitioner by the next business day opening to facilitate continuity of care.

We strongly recommend all patients see their doctor for repeat prescriptions to maintain appropriate management of your health condition. Please book an appointment at your earliest convenience.

In order to issue you a medical certificate, a doctors consultation is required, we are not able to back date medical certificates. If you saw your doctor on the same day and forgot to ask for a medical certificate at the time, this can be printed on the same day for you free of charge.
If you forgot to ask for a medical certificate on the day that you saw your doctor, and you decided that you required one at a later date, a medical certificate can be issued for the day of your visit and an administration fee of $15 applies.
Please be aware that our doctors are unable to extend your medical certificate without seeing you again to monitor your condition. If you are still feeling unwell and your medical certificate has expired, please make an appointment for a follow up consultation if you do not already have a follow up booked.

Home visits are available outside of business hours at, the discretion of the doctor, for regular patients who live within a 3km radius of the clinic for a Private Fee.
13SICK National Home Doctor service can also be contacted on 13 74 25 to have one of their GP's conduct a home visit if the clinic is closed.
