Key Health St Leonards is a mixed billing Clinic.
Bulk billing: Children and Pension Card holders on weekdays
Private fees apply for all other appointments. Please see the table below for our fee list and Medicare rebates.
International visitors and students with Overseas Visitor Health Cover (OVHC) or Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) from AHM, Allianz, Bupa, Medibank, or NIB are privately billed.
Medicare cardholders are eligible to receive an on-the-spot rebate for all privately billed procedures and services.

Insurance & Payment Information
We no longer offer direct billing to insurance providers. All patients with OSHC or private health insurance are required to pay upfront for their medical services. You can then submit your claim directly to your insurer for reimbursement.
Late Cancellations (Within 2 hours notice) and Non-Attendance:
We understand that plans can change. Please inform us as soon as you can if you are unable to attend your appointment.
Cancellation within 2 hours notice will attract a cancellation fee of $35.
A non-attendance (no-show) attracts a full consultation fee.

Key Health St Leonards is conveniently located at Shop 2/205 Pacific Highway, St Leonards NSW 2065, close to St Leonards Station and local public transport. Our medical centre provides GP and healthcare services for patients across St Leonards, Crows Nest, Wollstonecraft, Greenwich, Naremburn, Artarmon and surrounding Lower North Shore areas. The clinic can be accessed via Herbert Street, making it convenient for patients travelling by public transport or from nearby suburbs.

We are a mixed billing practice; patients are required to settle their consult fees upon completion of appointment.
All patients under 16 and pensioners are eligible for bulk billing services.
All patients with valid Medicare cards will receive a rebate out of their paid consultation fee; please refer to the fee's sections above.

For payments in the clinic, we are able to process your Medicare claim directly through our Tyro EFT machine which is linked directly to Medicare.

At Key Health, we want to provide the highest level of care with minimal wait times for our patients. By utilising an appointments system, we are able to help control wait times. When you make an appointment and run late, do not show or cancel with late notice, your valuable appointment time may often go unfilled.
Your missed appointment slot could have been utilised by other patients in need. This also means that our Doctors and Allied Health Staff are not able to see other patients during this time.
Many medical practices charge the full consultation fee for late cancellations/non-attendance. Our late cancellation/non-attendance fee is only $35.

To maintain our high standards of care, it is best to book in a follow-up appointment with your doctor so that they can discuss the results with you. If your results are urgent, you will receive a call from the clinic to book in sooner. If you have not booked an appointment and do not receive a call or text, this means your results are more than likely normal.
Our reception team are able to advise you if your results have returned and whether your doctor has requested a follow-up consultation. Our reception staff are unable to give out any results over the phone.
If a follow-up consultation was not requested by your doctor and you are still experiencing symptoms, we recommend that you organise a follow-up appointment.
If you are unable to attend the surgery and a follow up consultation is required, a phone consultation can be scheduled with one of our Doctors. The consultation fee is $75 and there is no medicare rebate.

Our practice runs on an appointment basis to maintain a high standard of care for all patients, however, there are usually same day appointments available. If your matter is urgent, our doctors will be able to see you as a walk-in patient.

We work closely with the 13SICK National Home Doctor Service to allow patients to be seen outside of our normal clinic hours by professional doctors and nurses. A report will be sent to your general practitioner by the next business day opening to facilitate continuity of care.

We strongly recommend all patients see their doctor for repeat prescriptions to maintain appropriate management of your health condition. Please book an appointment at your earliest convenience.

In order to issue you a medical certificate, a doctors consultation is required, we are not able to back date medical certificates. If you saw your doctor on the same day and forgot to ask for a medical certificate at the time, this can be printed on the same day for you free of charge.
If you forgot to ask for a medical certificate on the day that you saw your doctor, and you decided that you required one at a later date, a medical certificate can be issued for the day of your visit and an administration fee of $15 applies.
Please be aware that our doctors are unable to extend your medical certificate without seeing you again to monitor your condition. If you are still feeling unwell and your medical certificate has expired, please make an appointment for a follow up consultation if you do not already have a follow up booked.

Home visits are available outside of business hours at, the discretion of the doctor, for regular patients who live within a 3km radius of the clinic for a Private Fee.
13SICK National Home Doctor service can also be contacted on 13 74 25 to have one of their GP's conduct a home visit if the clinic is closed.
