Dr Therese (Tessa) Roberts
MBBS (UNSW), MMH (GP)
Dr. Therese Roberts completed her medical degree at the University of the New South Wales in the mid-1980s and has worked as a Vocationally Registered General Practitioner in Sydney’s NorthWest for over 30 years. During that time, she has had the privilege of supporting two, three — and sometimes four— generations of a single family group through the provision of comprehensive medical care.
In 2008, Tessa became the first General Practitioner to complete the Master of Mental Health (GP) program at the NSW Institute of Psychiatry. She went on to combine her general practice work with an active role at the Institute, where she contributed to the development and delivery of mental health education and the postgraduate program for fellow practitioners.
Tessa values the breadth of experience and diversity that general practice offers. She maintains a strong interest in mental health assessment and treatment and is passionate about preventative care, chronic disease management, paediatrics, and women’s health.
